Where Did Our Jobs Go?

Marcey Wisman asked me to spread the word on an upcoming event concerning job retention in our community & state.

This coming Monday (September 29th) there is going to be a discussion entitled "Outsourcing and Job Loss in Indiana" in the IU Southeast Library from 2-4PM.

This meeting is sponsered by the "Campaign for Change" and will be moderated by Ms. Wisman.

It is open to anyone interested in the topic.

I think job security is an issue for many people in the area, myself included. We have to be prepared for tough times ahead. It will make us more resilient overall, but it will hurt whilst in the fire.

Man, my last comment was almost prophetic. I was laid off yesterday. I guess I will be barbequing in the fire for a little while until I am able to find another job. Hopefully, this experience makes me more resilient.

Sorry, Larry. That's gotta hurt.

Thank you for the the concern; nevertheless, I will adapt and survive. It may not be the ideal circumstance, but there is a reason that it happened--I just don't know it yet.

Larry,

Just think of all the time you'll have to spend on being a county councilman!

I am hoping to have a new job before the election--if not then, hopefully soon thereafter.

I have to take care of my family first--that is my primary responsibility. Then, I can focus on the council.

Hey ask Randy Smith about outsourcing the sanitation workers. Surely Mr. Outsource NA will have all the answers.
